Meeting of the University authorities with representatives of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara

Development of cooperation, exchange of experience in the field of higher education were the main topics of the meeting of the university authorities with representatives of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara (Georgia) on March 6, 2023. The Georgian delegation was headed by professor Davit Gabaidze - Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.

Rector of the WUEB, prof. dr hab. Andrzej Kaleta and Vice-Rector for Accreditation and International Cooperation, prof. dr hab. Bogusława Drelich-Skulska welcomed the delegation and presented the university, as well as the possibilities and directions of bilateral cooperation development.

During the meeting, issues related to the practical implementation of the Cooperation Agreement reached in 2017 between the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business and Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University has been discussed.

The Georgian side is interested in exchange of lecturers and students, implementation of joint projects and research, publication of scientific papers, among others.

Lower Silesia and Adjara have been developing partnership relations in various areas for 5 years. Vice-Rector Drelich-Skulska stressed that the area of higher education and science plays an important role in international regional cooperation and expressed hope that this meeting will initiate new interesting projects.

The guests also visited the Business Process Simulation Center, where dr hab. Krzysztof Nowosielski, prof. WUEB familiarized the guests with the latest computer and VR technologies used in the process of educating students at the WUEB.
